Great Steakhouses by Houston TX Hood Cleaning January 4, 2019
Taste of Texas is in the Memorial area of Houston, Texas which is west of Downtown. They not only have a restaurant but an online store so you can purchase their amazing Certified Angus Beef that is aged 40 days.
Owners Edd and Nina Hendee opened Taste of Texas in 1977 which is now considered a Houston landmark steakhouse. They have a small museum in the restaurant with Texas memorabilia. Nina has a passion for Texas and its rich history. She has an awesome collection of historical documents and artifacts. She gives tours of the museum to fourth graders on school days and invites people to come in on Saturday morning for history talks.
It is pretty cool they put recipes of some of their popular dishes on the internet. I think I will have to try making their Texas Caviar with black-eyed peas, tomato, chives, garlic and other fresh ingredients. They also have steps for you to take before grilling a steak then the best way to grill your steak.
I was amazed to see they have almost three thousand reviews online with a four-point-seven-star rating. They must be doing something right to have such a high rating. This is one restaurant to put on your Bucket List of places to eat when visiting Houston, Texas.

Some of their side dishes include Corn Crème Brulee, Asparagus Fries and Double Baked Truffle Potato. No wonder they have a four-point-six rating on the web with hundreds of positive posts.
